MERRIMACK, NH — Mary is honored to be recognized among the Top 10 students in the Merrimack High School graduating class of 2026.
She would like to thank her parents, siblings, friends, and teachers for their unwavering support over the past 4 years.
Mary was new to the Merrimack School District her freshman year and quickly found her place among her peers in various clubs and classes. During high school, she took many honors and AP classes, with favorites including AP French, AP Calculus, AP Chemistry, AP Physics, and AP U.S. History. She also won the RPI Rensselaer Medal Award her junior year and was crowned Homecoming Queen her senior year.
Beyond academics, she participated in a wide variety of extracurriculars, including Student Council, Yearbook, Interact, National Honor Society, Math Honor Society, French Honor Society, and Science Honor Society. She served as a Class Representative her sophomore year, Class President her junior year, and Student Body President her senior year. Also during her senior year, she served as the Secretary for the French Honor Society, as well as being a founding member, and as the Treasurer for the Science Honor Society.
Outside of school, Mary has been an avid dancer for 15 years with 8 lead roles in The Nutcracker over the past 4 years, including the Sugar Plum Fairy, The Dew Drop Fairy, and her studio’s first Snow Queen. She will also be a 6x soloist in her studio’s recitals by the end of this school year. Her favorite styles are lyrical and ballet, with a special interest in dancing en pointe. She also frequently volunteered at her church on weekends and tutored kids in a variety of subjects.
In her free time, Mary enjoys reading, listening to music, going on walks, and playing guitar or piano.
Next year, Mary will be going to school, majoring in aerospace engineering. She hopes to work for a military contractor, designing new aircraft. She plans to continue dancing and is excited to see where this next chapter takes her. She would like to congratulate the MHS class of 2026 and wishes them luck in their future pursuits.
