MERRIMACK, NH — The Town of Merrimack and the Rotary Club of Merrimack are proud to announce the launch of the Merrimack Time Capsule ("MTC") project. This historic collaboration aims to preserve the current vibrant culture and history of Merrimack for generations to come. The capsule is scheduled for installation in the Fall of 2026 and will remain sealed for 250 years.

Organizers are inviting all residents, business owners, and community members to actively participate in shaping this legacy project. Starting now, the public can share their ideas for what should be included inside the capsule by completing the official MTC Survey at this link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdfkwMhpbXIZUq0c68pL94ROgJIOuh2IIfL3gkqe7I-YL16CA/viewform?pli=1&fbzx=7605230803519157766. The survey seeks input on modern artifacts, photographs, messages, and cultural items that best represent life in Merrimack today.

"This project is a unique bridge between our current community and the residents of Merrimack two and a half centuries from now," said Neil Anketell, a representative from the project committee. "We want every voice in town to be part of this legacy, and the survey is the first step in making that happen."

The MTC Survey is available on the Time Capsule Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1010665744816383, with physical copies accessible at select town buildings. Additional details regarding the exact installation date, location, and further community participation opportunities will be released in the coming weeks.
