It is a dark and sinister thing to bribe someone with other people's money so you can steal their freedom.

Widdershins means "counter-clockwise, anti-clockwise, or lefthandwise."

The term also describes the dance of witches around a fire or cauldron, or a bunch of divorcees around one of their ex-husbands. Contrarywise or left-handed made the term a more than curious way to describe the political left, and with the rise of the AWFLs, there you go.

Just don't drive your SUV any-witch-wise into a federal agent.

More than once I have used the word, or at least intended to, and you'll find plenty of references to the cauldrons in the DC dungeon narratives mills of the proglodytes and their ilk. It is a dark and sinister thing to bribe people with other people's money to steal their freedom. To get a jackboot in the door, followed by a mostly peaceful protest upon their lives and ultimately the house of liberty.

And when it comes to the political left, there is more than one way to 'skin' a cat-lady, so to speak.
