New Hampshire Democrats have hinged a lot of their effort on the idea that Free Staters are taking over the Republican Party, and this is bad for you.
Those crazy Free Staters, you don't want them taking over anything, they say.
New Hampshire Republicans say Democrat Socialists are taking over the Democrat Party, and while they haven't put as much effort into that message as the Dems have in theirs, you don't want the socialists taking over anything, they say, and NH Dems have been acting like them for a very long time.
Democrats don't want free staters winning because their agenda is painfully simple. Take over the government and then keep it, as much as possible, out of your wallet and your life. You know best how to spend or direct the money you earn, and that will create a thriving voluntary economy that benefits from what people want and need. It's not much different from what the nation's founders believed. Keep everything as close to the citizen as possible so they have the most control over themselves and government.
Republicans don't want Democrats winning because their agenda is exactly the opposite.
