Merrimack, NH June 14, 2012
Julie Akers, Sue Geyer and Eileen Herring of Merrimack Friends & Families presented Tina Andrade and Lynne Chase of Home Health & Hospice Care with a donation for $2,100 to assist with the funding of their valued program, Music at the Bedside. This is the second year that Merrimack Friends & Families has made a donation to the Music at the Bedside program, which is made possible by community donors.
This donation supports the quality end-of-life care provided at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack. In addition to excellent pain and symptom management, patients and families at the Community Hospice House have access to a wide variety of services, including a number of complementary therapies. Music at the Bedside is a program that is comprised of Certified Music Practitioners (CMPs) who are trained to play live, therapeutic music at the bedside. Instruments include dulcimer, guitar, harp and keyboard. The music played is unique to each situation and chosen to offer relaxation and comfort.
