St. Joseph Community Services Receives Grant from Bishop’s Charitable Assistance Fund

St. Joseph Community Services (SJCS), the provider of Meals on Wheels throughout Hillsborough County, received a $7,500 grant from the Bishop’s Charitable Assistance Fund (BCAF) for its Meals on Wheels Program. The BCAF is a not-for-profit organization within the Catholic Church in New Hampshire. The Fund makes grants to not-for-profit
organizations without regard to religious affiliation for projects that help people in New Hampshire meet their basic needs.
“We are so grateful for this generous donation from the Bishop’s Charitable Assistance Fund,” Meghan Brady,
President of SJCS said.
SJCS also welcomed Martha O’Neill, Nashua attorney and member of the Board of Directors of the BCAF, who volunteered her time at the SJCS site located in the Nashua Senior Activity Center. Atty. O’Neill helped to package up meals to go out to the homebound.

Last year, SJCS served 422,006 meals and 3,506 individuals throughout Hillsborough County. This generous grant from BCAF will help SJCS continue to meet the need for its Meals on Wheels Program, empowering older and disabled adults to continue to live in their own
homes by providing nutritious meals and connection to their communities.
