Planning to run for a state office? Share your letters announcing your plans with our readers.

June 6 marks the start of the filing period for state representative, state senate and other state office positions.
We calling for Merrimack residents who are planning to run for office to announce their candidacy right here on Merrimack Patch.
Back in TK Town Councilor Dan Dwyer announced his intent to file to run for the new Senate seat created in redistricting earlier this year. The senator elected will represent Merrimack, Amherst, Milford and Wilton.

The procedure will be simple and will be similar to how we structured things during the town election filing period.
Anybody running for one of these positions – please email a letter to carolyn.dube@patch.com with an attached photograph of yourself. There is no requirement on length.

You can also post them on your own in our annoucements section. All you need to do is sign in to your Patch account or create one (it's free) and click on the "New Annoucement" button under the preceding link.
In the letter, please indicate the seat for which you are running, a bit about youreself and tell Patch's readers why you're the right candidate for the job.
All candidate letters will be featured on the site.
