Area Wrestlers Head to Fitchburg
Merrimack Youth Wrestlers Compete at Fitchburg, MA Holiday Tournament

The Merrimack Youth Wrestling Program sent four wrestlers to compete in the Fitchburg Holiday Tournament held at Monty Tech Vocational High School in Fitchburg, MA, December 20, 2014. Individual results were as follows:
Aiden Hanning, grade 6, pinned all four of his opponents en route to a first place finish.
Gavin Ross, grade 4, won all three of his matches, one by pin, to also finish in first place.

Anson Dewar, grade 6, and Marshall Koranda, grade 3, also competed in the tournament.
The Merrimack Youth Wrestling Program is part of the Merrimack Youth Association. It strives to provide a safe recreational activity for Merrimack children in grades K-6. The program promotes the sport of wrestling, the world’s oldest sport, by providing a safe practice environment, by delivering high quality instruction, and by facilitating tournament competition opportunities. The Program is in its 9th season and currently has 40 wrestlers on its roster.
