The Rotary Club of Merrimack is pleased to announce that it will be hosting art and photography competitions open to everyone on July 4.

The Rotary Club of Merrimack is pleased to announce that it will be hosting art and photography competitions open to everyone during the Fourth of July festivities.

“Art and photography work of any subject and medium will be accepted but we are especially hopeful to see images which reflect the Town of Merrimack,” says Robert Best, July 4th Family Fun Day Coordinator.

Artists and photographers are encouraged to submit art and photography work that is framed and ready to hang with wire. Works should not exceed 24” x 30” with frame. Pieces should be brought to the Arts & Crafts Tent on the grounds of Mastricola Elementary School any time before 1:00 pm on July 4th.

Voting for awards will take place throughout the day by popular vote and awards will be announced after 7pm on July 4th. Entry forms can be downloaded at our July 4th website: Merrimack4th.com.

In addition to the Art and Photography Competitions, children will have the opportunity to create their own art on the day of the event. At the arts and crafts tent, children will be encouraged to create watercolor paintings which demonstrate their favorite things about the Fourth of July. This event will take place from 2:30 pm-6:30pm. After the event concludes, the awards will be decided by popular vote. First prize for Photography and artwork in both the youth and adult competition will be a $25 gift card for each category winner, courtesy of the Merrimack Rotary Club.
