MERRIMACK, NH – If you are a Merrimack resident who wants to give back to the community then being a police citizen volunteer could be your opportunity to help protect and serve your town. The Merrimack Police Department is looking for five police citizen volunteers to assist Merrimack PD in the patrol division, criminal investigations division, communications division or records division, as needed.

Candidates must be able to perform duties outside, sometimes in inclement weather conditions, and must be able to walk or stand outside for extended periods of time. They must also have a minimum education of a high school diploma, or equivalent, and must be able to pass an extensive background check.

Application review will begin on Nov. 1 and must be received by 4 p.m. on Nov. 8.

Those interested in applying should send an application to the Merrimack Police Department through the town application process at www.merrimacknh.gov/jobs, through mailing an application to Town of Merrimack, Attn: HR-PD Volunteer, 6 Baboosic Lake Road, Merrimack NH 03054 or through sending an email attachment to applications@merrimacknh.gov with PD Volunteer in the subject line.
