Bedford Woman Arrested On OUI Charge In Merrimack

MERRIMACK, NH — A local woman is due in court later this month after being arrested during the weekend on a drunk driving charge. Barbara Bruno, 57, of Meadow Road in Bedford, was arrested on July 15, 2017, for operating under the influence-liquor. At just before 7 p.m. on Saturday, police received a complaint about a vehicle on the Daniel Webster Highway, according to Stephen Wallin of the Merrimack Police Department.

“The responding officer stopped the motor vehicle after observing it commit a motor vehicle infraction,” Wallin alleged. “When the officer spoke with the driver, Barbara Bruno, she did show signs of impairment. After a brief investigation, Bruno was placed under arrest for operating under the influence of liquor.”

Bruno was charged, processed, and released on $1,500 personal recognizance bail. She’s due in court on July 27.
