Day 14 of my rebirth
So lets see, I hadn't even started the diet and I had gained 8 pounds. Wow, this might not be as easy as I thought it would be.
A few weeks ago I did I received a lot of well wishes and promised to keep a blog on my progress over the next two years as I try to go from 341 pounds to 239 pounds. So in keeping with the promise, here is the first update.
When I stated in the blog that I was 341 pounds I was going by my last doctor’s visit, as you may recall the bathroom scale hasn’t been a frequent guest of mine over the last 10 years. Well, I figured I better get an official weigh-in Dec. 5, the day I began my two- year quest, so I dusted off the bathroom scale and to my dismay my actual weight was 349 pounds. I guess there must have been something wrong with the scale in the doctor’s office 6 month ago, when I was last on it. So lets see, I hadn’t even started the diet and I had gained 8 pounds. Wow, this might not be as easy as I thought it would be.
Fourteen days later, so far so good. I have made it to the YMCA seven times, had no pastries, chips etc. and pushed away the dinner plate after one helping. For snacks I have a V8 juice or a fiber bar and make sure I have eight glasses of water per day. I had a pulsing headache the first week but since then I'm feeling better. My current weight is (drum roll, please) 337 pounds, so I'm down 12 pounds.
