Some sprays applications are "wet" and some are "dry". A wet hairspray simply goes on wet, and takes a little time to dry. This type of spray has a firmer hold and high shine. On the other hand "dry" hairsprays spray on dry. They vary in control from soft to firm, and degree of shine varies from matte to natural.
