Merrimack Parks and Recereation Departments Wine and Chocolate Tour Bus Trip
Come join us for a day of wine and chocolate! We will tour two NH vineyards and taste their specialty wines and end up at Swan's Chocolate's for "The Chocolate Experience"!
On Wednesday, May 8th the Merrimack Parks and Recreation Department will host a bus trip touring two NH Winery’s and Swan’s Chocolates in Merrimack. Our first stop will be at New Hampshire’s oldest and most awarded vineyard, Jewell Town Vineyards in South Hampton. We will receive a guided tour of their scenic vineyard, learn about the art of winemaking and sample delicious estate-made wines in a rustic post and beam barn. Next, we will travel to the largest vineyard in NH. The Flag Hill Winery & Distillery is located in Lee, NH. Flag Hill produces red and white wines made from grapes grown on their 120-acre property. A scrumptious lunch will be served before we start a walking tour of the winery. After the tour, we head into the tasting room to sample six of Flag Hills fantastic wines. The last leg of the tour will bring us to Swan’s Chocolates in Merrimack! At Swan’s, we will be treated to “The Chocolate Experience”. There will be three stations made up of chocolate fountains, fudge and chocolate to taste! What a great way to end the day!!
The bus will depart from Wasserman Park, located at 116 Naticook Rd., Merrrimack at 9:00 am and return at approximately 5:30 pm. The cost of $65.00 per person is all-inclusive, including round trip motor coach transportation, wine tasting and tours, lunch and driver gratuity.
