Merrimack Rocks- Honoring a Town and its Citizens

"Merrimack Rocks" will be an evening of live music, fireworks and tribute celebrating Merrimack and some of the many individuals who have done Merrimack proud over the years.

The Merrimack Town Council voted unanimously on conceptual approval to expand the Merrimack Fall Festival to include an evening event. "Merrimack Rocks" will be an evening of live music, fireworks and tribute celebrating Merrimack and honoring a hometown hero, Cpl. Timothy Gibson who gave the ultimate sacrifice to help ensure that we can continue to live the American way of life.We will also be honoring all Merrimack High School state championship athletic teams and giving out a lifetime achievement award to someone who has spent decades working as a Merrimack volunteer to improve our town.

The event will be held Sept. 28 at the new pavilion at Watson Park beginning at  5 p.m.  and concluding with a fireworks show at 8:30 p.m. There will be three live musical acts throughout the evening.

The event will be funded through sponsorships by the generous support of the Greater Merrimack business community. Admission will be free and those interested in sponsorship opportunities can e-mail Dave McCray at dmccray7@aol.com or call 603-913-5558. Please let your friends know so that Merrimack can be celebrated and that we can honor some of the many individuals who have done Merrimack proud over the years and celebrate Merrimack itself.
