Notice of Milfoil and Fish sampling at Naticook Lake
The NH Departments of Enviornmental Services and Fish & Game will be performing the milfoil survey and fish sampling/counting at Naticook Lake starting mid May.

The NH Departments of Environmental Services and Fish & Game has notified the Merrimack Parks and Recreation Department that they will be performing the milfoil survey and fish sampling/counting at Naticook Lake. Milfoil survey is planned for mid May and fish sampling is planned during the week of June 10th. The Fish & Game fish sampling boat does have many bright lights and a loud generator. Sampling will start at sunset and can last as long as 4-5 hours depending on the number of fish sampled. The exact date will be dependent on weather and other projects. A team from the Department of Environmental Services will survey Lake Naticook for milfoil growth prior to the planned treatment in early June. The boat launch will remain closed to the public during this fish sampling and milfoil treatment. The boat launch is expected to reopen later this summer when the milfoil is successfully eradicated from the lake.
