This is a big event for Michael Phelps, one he has won twice before. Tonight he swims it for the last time. He had a slight lead after first lap and maintained that through out the race. He hugged the world record pace to take gold becoming the first male swimmer to threepeat in an Olympic event, earning himself medal number 20! What a great way to end his career final 200IM race. He beat out Ryan Lochte once agin, who took the silver just like in Beijing. This round goes to Phelps!
