Merrimack Woman Identified in Back River Road Death

Authorities in Thursday identified the victim in a death investigation as Darlene Lawrence, 61.

Police said her body was found in her home at 86 Back River Road. Joseph Lawrence is her husband.

WMUR reported police got a 911 call from the home Thursday at about 6:30 a.m.

Here’s a statement police released at about noon:

“The Merrimack Police Department in conjunction with the New Hampshire State Police and the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office are at the scene of a Death Investigation on Back River Rd.

At this point, we have determined that there is no threat to neighbors or the general public, although the investigation is ongoing.”
