7:00 PM Guest Speaker: Erin Murray (A Short History of Canal Boats on the Merrimack River)

PROGRAM: A Short History of Canal Boats on the Merrimack River at Merrimack NH, including the First Showing and REVEAL of Erin’s original painting depicting canal boat life on the Merrimack River.

BIO: Erin Murray, a senior who captained the Granite State Challenge team this year and was on the team that won the title last year, 2024. This was the 3rd consecutive year Merrimack High School Granite State Challenge team has won, and 5th time in the last 6 years. Erin has also been selected for the New Hampshire Music Educators Association All-State Festival two years running as a vocalist.

Erin took advantage of the Merrimack ELO (Extended Learning Opportunities) program for this painting and presentation to the Merrimack Historical Society.

Erin will be attending the Massachusetts College of Art and Design in the fall! Congratulations, Erin!
