7:00 PM Guest Speaker – William ‘Bill’ Sousa (Roles of the President with the growth of the federal government from 1789 to 2025)
PROGRAM: Roles of the President with the growth of the federal government from 1789 to 2025. A presentation and lesson in Civics and Constitutional History throughout the history of the United States. Civics is defined as the study or science of the privileges and obligations of citizens. Civic education is the study of the theoretical, political and practical aspects of citizenship, as well as its rights and duties.
The question for the audience is what do you think about the power of the executive branch to shape domestic and foreign policy yesterday, today and in the future?
BIO: Bill Sousa served 4 years in the U.S. Air force 1963-1967, Taught Social Studies in NH for 39 years Grades 6-12 in the Merrimack Public Schools. After retiring Bill taught at Nashua Community College U.S History and Constitutional History. My wife and I live in Merrimack, NH. Currently I produce a show on Merrimack TV on citizenship ( Straight Talking by the Bill of Rights Sousa).
