Introducing the NH Climate Action Plan -and asking for YOUR input!

Event Details

RSVP at bit.ly/EngagementCCAP

Speakers:

  • Kurt Yuengling (NH DES)

  • Jennifer Galbraith (NH DES)

WHAT: The NH Dept of Environmental Services (DES) is soon going to publish its Draft Measures for NH’s Comprehensive Climate Action Plan (CCAP).

The CCAP will be NH’s bid for climate resilience funding that’s still available from the EPA. The EPA says that meaningful community engagement is essential during development of the CCAP. By engaging in this process, we can highlight concerns and solutions developed by our organizations and advocate for ideas and measures that might not otherwise be included.

The deadline for community inputs is November 15. This Nov. 5 meeting, sponsored by NH Network, is the last on-line opportunity to engage directly with DES planners on existing and proposed climate strategies being submitted to the EPA.

WHEN: Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2025, 5:30-6:30 pm.

WHERE: A virtual event on Zoom; registration required (admission is free).

RSVP at bit.ly/EngagementCCAP

Registrants will receive a link to the recording of the event.

WHY: These final engagement sessions are the culmination of a 2-year process to learn about projects being implemented around the state. Conversations online and in-person ranged over goals, barriers & strategies for building more resilient communities in NH. Funding will be competitively granted for community-engaged projects that:

  • Reduce greenhouse gas emissions while supporting the creation of good jobs and lowering energy costs for families.

  • Empower community-driven solutions in neighborhoods overburdened by pollution and the impacts of climate change by directly seeking input from those communities.

  • Deliver cleaner air by reducing harmful air pollution in places where people live, work, play, and go to school.
