Date of birth: Dec. 30, 1951

Your background /education: New Hampshire native, Merrimack resident 37 years

Plymouth State College Bachelor of Science in biological science, Secondary Education; Graduate work Rivier College, biology, education

Experience/Occupation: Retired high school science educator in biology, botany, anatomy and physiology; head teacher science department

Prior elected office: Merrimack Budget Committee (1 term), Merrimack School Board (2 terms)

Personal: Two married daughters, two granddaughters; Interests: horticulture, history of military, medicine, landscape and seascape painting, studying German

Priorities: Reasoned and well researched decision-making for issues that come before the legislative body; concentrating on New Hampshire’s economic, educational and environmental matters, and demonstrating respect toward colleagues

Why are you running? I have watched New Hampshire politics coming out of Concord with continuing dismay. The decisions being made by many legislators fail too many citizens in terms of health care, tax credits at the expense of public education, job cuts rather than job creation, and agreeing to a revenue loss that could have benefitted our University system instead of forcing tuition increases.
