Car Strikes Tree On Everett Turnpike

Breaking: Merrimack Fire and Rescue teams transport man to the hospital after crash earlier tonight.

MERRIMACK, NH — One man was transported to the hospital after a crash on the Everett Turnpike North in Merrimack, according to online reports. EMTs, Merrimack Police, state police and others were called to a report of a rollover at just before 8 p.m. on July 11, 2017. The vehicle reportedly left the highway, struck tree stumps, and then hit a large tree.

“The initial reports came to 911 that the car was on fire and the person was trapped,” according to Jeffrey Hastings of Frame of Mind Photography. “When first responders arrived they found the victim out of the car with serious lower body injuries. The adult male conscious was in significant pain, and EMS, personnel assisted him even though he was combative towards them.”

The crash was cleared at just before 9 p.m., according to the NH DOT.
