CASA of NH Awarded $50K Grant From Hearst Foundation
The award will support CASA's work and mission to provide a passionate advocate for every abused or neglected child in New Hampshire.
The Hearst Foundation, Inc. has awarded Court Appointed Special Advocates a $50,000 grant to support CASA’s mission to protect the rights of New Hampshire’s abused and neglected children to grow up in a safe, loving home.
The Hearst Foundations are national philanthropies that support nonprofits working in the fields of education, health, culture and social service helping to “ensure that people of all backgrounds have the opportunity to build healthy, productive and inspiring lives.”
The award will support CASA’s work and mission to provide a voice for every abused or neglected child in New Hampshire by maintaining high-quality advocacy on their behalf in the state’s family courts.

“We are honored to have been selected as a recipient of a grant from the Hearst Foundation,” said CASA of New Hampshire CEO and President Marcia Sink. “The Hearst Foundation has a long history of providing support to nonprofit organizations that are addressing the needs of some of the most vulnerable people in our society. Our CASA volunteer advocates work tirelessly to provide vital support for the state’s abused and neglected children, yet our work is never done. This award will allow us to continue to grow our volunteer capacity so we can advocate for more children who need a caring adult to speak for them.”
This is the third time CASA has been awarded a grant from the Hearst Foundation in the last 10 years.

“We are delighted to support CASA’s efforts to serve New Hampshire’s most vulnerable children,” said Alison Yu, program officer at the Foundation.
Since 1989, CASA of New Hampshire has served nearly 10,000 children. Its central office is located in Manchester with five regional offices in Berlin, Colebrook, Dover, Keene and Plymouth. CASA is always looking for caring, compassionate adults who want to make a difference in a child’s life by being their voice in court.
