Clinic ends, learning continues at the Independent Karate School

This year's summer clinic at the Independent Karate School has now concluded.

The students participating ranged in rank from white belts to first-degree black belts, from our newest beginners to our "serious beginners."

Each day of the clinic, the two-hour practice session started with stretching and strengthening exercises.  Students then moved on to drilling essential elements of solid self-defense, including as footwork, timing, and strike selection.

Clinic days also typically add something fun that beginners might not normally try, such jumping or turning kicks--much to the delight of some of our younger students!

A good time was had by all!  Regular classes at the Independent Karate School continue all summer, including Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6 pm in Merrimack at the VFW.
