Cops: Manchester Man Violated Protective Order

Merrimack Police allege that Benjamin Carter violated the order last year.

Manchester Police investigators arrested a local man for a protective order violation incident in Merrimack last year, according to police.

Benjamin Carter, 28, of Eastern Avenue in Manchester, was arrested on June 6, 2015, and charged with violation of a protective order.

According to police, back in December 2014, officers investigated a claim that Carter had placed a call to a complainant in town he was not allowed to communicate with. Carter had a protective order issued against him that prohibited him from having any contact with the complainant. Merrimack Police investigated the incident and later, issued the warrant for Carter. He was arrested last week.

According to police, he was held without bail after the arrest and transported to the Hillsborough County Jail. He was scheduled to be arraigned on June 8.
