According to a report, police were called to an Arlington Street home to assist another agency on a welfare check after receiving information about a possible domestic disturbance earlier in the day at the home.
Officers arrived and spoke with Barter, who allegedly confirmed that there had been a disturbance at the residence, according to Lt. Dean KillKelley.

“After talking with the other household member, it was discovered during their investigation that Barter had punched this other individual in the head with a closed fist,” according to KillKelley, “and during this confrontation had taken a kitchen knife and threatened to kill this person with it. Barter later used the knife to punch a hole into an insulated lunch bag.”
Barter was arrested and held on $10,000 cash bail at the Valley Street Jail. She was scheduled to be arraigned earlier today.
