Crash Leads to OUI, Heroin Charges

Merrimack Police arrest Caitlin Wysong after accident on Daniel Webster Highway last night.

MERRIMACK, NH - A Manchester woman was arrested last night after an accident on the Daniel Webster Highway after she allegedly drove her Hyundai Elantra into a guardrail.

Caitlin Wysong, 30, of Country Club Drive in Manchester, was arrested on Jan. 28, 2016, for operating under the influence of liquor/drugs, possession of heroin, and motor vehicle possession of heroin.

According to police, at about 6:45 p.m., officers were sent to the DW Highway for a crash near the MYA building.

When they arrived, they found a Hyundai had struck a guardrail, and both had sustained “significant damage from the impact,” according to Lt. Ted Dillon.

“When police spoke to the driver who was identified as the above Caitlin Wysong, she did show signs of drug impairment,” according to Dillon. “After a brief investigation she was arrested for O.U.I.L./Drugs.”

During the investigation, they also allegedly found Wysong in possession of a small amount of heroin and those charges were added.

Wysong was released on $5,000 personal recognizance bail and is due in court on Feb. 9.

Back in October 2014, she was charged with felony reckless conduct for allegedly repeatedly slapping and punching a man on the back of the head as he drove south on I-93, got off the highway at Wellington Road, and struck a guard rail, according to the New Hampshire Union Leader.
