Crash Splits Car In Two On Daniel Webster Highway

Breaking: One person was medflighted from Merrimack after a crash this morning.

MERRIMACK, NH — The driver of a car reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed crashed into a tree on the Daniel Webster Highway in Merrimack, splitting the vehicle into two pieces, according to police and information online. The crash occurred at just after 3 a.m. on Aug. 6, 2017. After the crash, part of the car remained on the road while the other half landed about 1,000 feet into the woods, according to Jeffrey Hastings of Frame of Mind Photography, who took this photo.

The driver – the only person in the car – was medflighted to Boston with serious, life threatening injuries, according to police. The New Hampshire State Police CAR Unit is investigating the crash.
