Crashes Lead to OUI Arrest

Merrimack Police charge Monica Caterino with drunk driving and a conduct charge, after she allegedly struck a utility pole and a mailbox.

A local woman was arrested recently after an accident on Naticook Road, not far from her home, according to an arrest report.

Monica Caterino, 47, of Naticook Road in Merrimack, was arrested on June 6, 2015, and charged with operating under the influence, liquor, and conduct after an accident.

According to a report, Merrimack Fire and Rescue teams and police officers were sent to Naticook Road for a report of a crash with a Chevrolet Malibu driving into a utility pole. When teams and police arrived, they found the vehicle with front-end damage and a utility pole damaged. They also found a mailbox at a nearby residence that was also struck.

“Police spoke to the driver, Monica Caterino, in regards to the crash,” according to Sgt. Ted Dillon. “When speaking to her police observed signs of alcohol impairment. After brief investigation she was placed under arrest for O.U.I.L.”

Caterino was released on personal recognizance bail and according to police, was scheduled to answer to the charges in Merrimack District Court on June 16.
