Why are you seeking elective office?
To use my proven leadership skills to service the people in making the Registry of Deeds more user friendly and efficient to Hillsborough citizens.
The single most pressing issue facing our (board, district, etc.) is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.
Maintaining a competent staff in this time of full employment is the greatest challenge. Create a cooperative environment so that staff love to work for the Registry of Deeds.
What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
Experience. I have six years of experience, in varying conditions, as the leader of a county department.
If you are a challenger, in what way has the current board or officeholder failed the community (or district or constituency)
Describe the other issues that define your campaign platform.
The Internet access to the Registry of Deeds was preferred by users in prior years. It can be improved so that users are as happy with it as they once were.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
As County Attorney, I handled both contracting budgets some years and increasing responsibilities in other years.
The best advice ever shared with me was:
Best political advice was that elected officials should just do their job.
What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
The Registry of Deeds is in Nashua. I commute to work in Nashua by bicycle and so will commute to the Registry of Deeds on my bicycle.
