Do You Use A NH Lake?
The Rotary Club of Merrimack guest speaker on Sept. 12 will be Kelly Buchanan, NHLAKES Advocacy Coordinator.

MERRIMACK, NH -- We all benefit from New Hampshire's 960 lakes as a huge economic engine
whether for tourism, fishing, swimming, boating or simply the beauty of
the landscape.
The Rotary Club of Merrimack guest speaker on Sept. 12 will be Kelly
Buchanan, NHLAKES Advocacy Coordinator. She'll be talking about the
economic importance of all of our lakes, as well as the programs that
NHLAKES runs to help keep our lakes clean and healthy. These include
invasive species control and management, "Clean, Drain and Dry", the
Lake Host program, and assistance with landscaping and how to minimize
adverse damage from storm water run-off. There are also educational
programs such as the annual NH Lakes Congress. NHLAKES is the statewide
lake association, working with many local groups as well as the NH
Department of Environmental Services to keep our lakes clean and healthy.
If you are interested in attending, seats are available. A hot buffet
breakfast is included. Contact Chris Christensen to RSVP for limited
free seats. Call Chris at (603) 424-2542, or email
chris@christensenNH.com by September 8.
