Driving with a Flat Tire Leads to Charges Against Lowell Woman
Merrimack Police arrest Nicole Companion for OUI on the Daniel Webster Highway.

MERRIMACK, NH - A Massachusetts woman was arrested last week and is due in court next week after allegedly driving while intoxicated.
Nicole A. Companion, 29, of Pawtucket Boulevard in Lowell, MA, was arrested on Jan. 15, 2016, for operating under the influence-drugs and disobeying a police officer.

At a little past 1:30 p.m., police were sent to the Daniel Webster Highway area for a report of a motor vehicle driving erratically with a flat tire.
The officer found the vehicle near Baboosic Lake Road and attempted to conduct a traffic stop but the driver – Companion – allegedly refused to stop. The vehicle eventually stopped near the Santander Bank.

Companion was immediately arrested for disobeying an officer.
“While speaking with Companion, the officer suspected that she was possibly impaired,” according to Sgt. Walters of the Merrimack Police Department. “Upon further investigation at the police department, it was discovered that she was under the influence of a controlled drug.”
Companion was processed and released on $2,500.00 personal recognizance bail. She is scheduled to appear before the Merrimack Circuit Court on Jan. 26, 2016, to answer to the charges, according to police.
