Elderly Man Arrested Twice in 24 Hours
Merrimack Police allege that Ronald Gunn assaulted a resident on Forest Drive, returned to the address and breached bail.

A local senior citizen is in trouble with the law after two separate criminal incidents in less than 24 hours, according to police.
Ronald Gunn, 79, of Forest Drive in Merrimack, was arrested on April 5, 2015, and charged with domestic violence-simple assault and arrested again on April 6, on a breach of bail charge.
According to two arrest reports, police were sent to the home at around 6 p.m. on Sunday for a report of an active domestic disturbance.

When they arrived, officers spoke to people at the home and conducted “a brief investigation” and learned that Gunn had allegedly pushed another person in the home. He was arrested and later, released on personal recognizance bail, with a court date of April 7.
Earlier today, however, police were called back to the residence after finding out that Gunn allegedly violated his bail conditions by returning to the address.

“Upon further investigation it was determined that Gunn was currently out on bail stemming from a Domestic Violence arrest that occurred on April 5, 2015,” according to Sgt. Foley. “Gunn’s bail conditions stipulated that he is not to enter the premises at Forest Drive.”
Gunn was arrested again and released on $100 cash bail. He’s due in court tomorrow to answer to both charges, according to police.
