Learn to Start Seeds

Volunteers from the Merrimack Community Gardens will host "Learn to Start Seeds."  In this free, hands-on workshop novice gardeners will learn how to start vegetable and flower seed indoors to jump-start the growing season.

Participants will plant several different seeds to nurture at home through the spring.  The workshop will also cover timing for different seed varieties, a review of container and soil mixtures, and how to transplant seedlings for a
successful outdoor growing season. The workshop is open to Merrimack residents; children age 6 and older are welcome to attend with an adult.

Space is limited so registration is required.  To register, visit the library's website at www.merrimack.lib.nh.us or call the library at 424-5021.
