PAWS to READ

Come read with Teddie! Children ages 4 and older who would like to practice their reading skills can register for a 20 minute slot to read to Teddie, a certified Reading Education Assistance Dog (R.E.A.D.) Teddie will be accompanied by his companion, Melanie Paul, a Delta Society R.E.A.D. volunteer.

R.E.A.D. programs improve children's reading and communication skills by creating a relaxed, safe, nonjudgemental environment where they can get the supervised reading practice necessary to build vocabulary, increase understanding of the material, and gain fluency as a reader.

Use an adult Merrimack Library card to register for this program.
