Paws to READ with Teddie

Children ages 4+, (as well as teens, adults and everyone in between!) who would like to practice their reading skills can read to *Teddie, a certified Reading Education Assistance Dog (R.E.A.D.) We will have reading materials
available, but you are welcome to bring your favorite choice. Need to practice reading aloud in a foreign language? That's fine too!

To reserve a 15 minute time slot, register online or call the Children's Room at 424-5021. Use an adult Merrimack Library card to register.

R.E.A.D. programs improve reading and communication skills by creating a relaxed, safe, non-judgemental environment where participants can get the supervised reading practice necessary to build vocabulary, increase understanding of the material and gain fluency as a reader.
