“The male was located on the edge of the rear parking lot and was determined to be deceased,” according to Capt. Brian Levesque of the Merrimack Police Department. “He was later identified as Allen Bartlett, 26, of Manchester. The cause of his death is pending toxicology results but is suspected to be a drug overdose.”

Police requested, and were granted, search warrants and began searching hotel rooms at the Residences as well as the Quality Inn. They also searched a vehicle at the Quality Inn. Meth, ecstasy, and heroin/fentanyl were reportedly seized during the searches.

Police as well as the Hillsborough County Street Crime Task Force continued to investigate the case and on April 6, at just before 1 a.m., arrested Cain, Cain, and Scadding after a motor vehicle stop, according to Levesque.

Jessica Cain, during the stop, allegedly tried to conceal the drugs from police, so a falsifying evidence charge was also issued against her.

“Police anticipate additional charges and more arrests of individuals involved,” Levesque added. “The investigation is ongoing into the death of Allen Bartlett.”
