Field trip! at the Independent Karate School

Attention, students of the Merrimack Independent Karate School!  This coming Tuesday, June 17, class will not be held in our usual location at the VFW.  Instead, class will take place at our Nashua location, 138 Lake Street, starting at 6:15 pm.

This is a rare event: normally, class is held in Merrimack Tuesdays and Thursdays without fail, except for major holidays. But it's a special occasion!  Several of our orange belts, students who have already received one promotion, will be testing for their next promotion, to purple belt.  An advanced student will be testing for her next rank as well.  All students who would normally attend class in Merrimack on Tuesday nights are encouraged to come to class in Nashua instead that evening.  Not only will they have the opportunity to work with one of our founding headmasters, but they be able to support and congratulate their classmates as they go up in rank.

Merrimack IKS students are always welcome at the Nashua school (where children's classes are normally held at several times on Tuesday afternoons and Saturday mornings).  Quite a number of Merrimackers are regulars at our Saturday morning classes in Nashua--they benefit from the extra practice and from a chance to work with a variety of instructors.  Belt tests for all students are normally conducted in Nashua, during that Saturday morning timeframe. However, the more students who are testing, the more complicated it gets to schedule a good time for all the families.  This time, it worked out best to schedule the test for a Tuesday evening.  Since solidarity among students is extremely important at the IKS, down to Nashua we all will go.

As our most recent beginners become more proficient, new beginners would be most welcome!  Feel free to observe any scheduled Independent Karate School class, with no prior arrangements needed.  Children are also always welcome to participate in a class to try it out, with no obligation.

Classes in Merrimack meet every Tuesday and Thursday evening at 6 pm, at the VFW post near the Common Man (except this Tuesday, June 17, when class will take place at 138 Lake Street, Nashua, at 6:15 pm).  For a complete class schedule and more information, please visit www.independentkarateschool.com.  Hope to see you soon!
