Filing Period For Merrimack Town Offices Announced
Candidates for town council, other offices to be elected at Town Meeting on April 10, can signup beginning on Feb. 21.

MERRIMACK, NH — The Merrimack Town Clerk has announced that candidates interesting in running for office this year can begin to file to run on Wednesday Feb. 21, 2018. The filing period will run through 5 p.m. on Friday, March 2. Three three-year town council seats as well as a single one-year vacancy seat will be elected at Town Meeting on April 10, 2018.
Two Ethics Committee members, three Library Trustees, the town moderator, a Supervisor of the Checklist, Town Clerk/Tax Collector, and a single Trustee of the Trust Funds will also be elected.
In order to run, candidates must be a registered voter and domiciled in Merrimack. Candidates for town council need to have been domiciled in town for at least one year.
