Florida Man Arrested After Striking Fire Hydrant
Merrimack Police allege that Terry Duncan fled the scene of a motor vehicle accident earlier this month.

A man who reportedly hit a fire hydrant on Columbia Circle and then allegedly fled the scene was arrested on a conduct after an accident charge earlier this month.
Terry Duncan, 62, of County Road in Panasoffkee, FL, was arrested and charged after hitting the fire hydrant and then, allegedly fleeing the scene.

When police were called to the area, they found water gushing from the hydrant.
“Upon arrival an investigation was conducted into the accident,” Mptl Stephen Wallin. “During the investigation it was determined that Duncan had struck the fire hydrant with a motor vehicle causing damage to it. Duncan then left the scene of the accident without providing any information to the owner of the property or the police.”

Duncan was arrested and arraigned on Nov. 17 in Merrimack District Court.
