FREE Family Fun at the 22nd Annual Winter Carnival!

The 22nd Annual Winter Carnival hosted by the Merrimack Parks and Recreation Dept. and Parks and Recreation Committee will be held at Wasserman Park on Saturday, February 22, 2014 from 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm.

With winter in full force, we look forward to ideal wintery conditions to enjoy the lovely New England outdoors!  Families will have an opportunity to enjoy a day of FREE activities including the Ice Fishing Derby sponsored by the Lions Club, snowmobile rides sponsored by the Sno-Buds Snowmobile Club, Snowshoeing sponsored by Eastern Mountain Sports of Nashua, snow art sponsored by the Parks and Recreation Committee and much more!

Join us in support of our local non-profit organization! Delicious snacks and refreshments will be available in the Function Hall! Merrimack Friends and Family will offer hot dogs and water, with proceeds going toward the Merrimack Friends and Family charitable fund. The Merrimack Leo’s will be selling delicious homemade baked goods.  All proceeds will go back to the community to help families in need. The Merrimack Girl Scouts will be painting faces, giving temporary tattoos and making winter crafts. Members of the Sno-Buds Snowmobile Club will be available to answer questions on their club, safe riding and where to find snowmobile trails in the area.  The Southern NH Flying Eagles will show their airplanes doing amazing aerial demonstrations and share information on their club.  Pete Desmaris of the Independent School of Karate will highlight his students in an exciting Karate demonstration!
