Get Ready to Run for Merrimack Town Offices

Candidates are needed for town council, Ethics Committee, Library Trustees, and Trustee of the Trust Funds.

MERRIMACK, NH — The filing period to run for town office begins on Feb. 22, 2017, according to the town clerk. According to a press statement, candidates for town council, Ethics Committee, Library Trustees, and Trustee of the Trust Funds will be elected at Town Meeting on April 11.

Two three-year seats for council and one one-year seat are open along with one seat on the Ethics Committee, two three-year Library Trustees seats, and a single Trustee of the Trust Funds seat, for 3 years

Candidates must file with the Town Clerk to have their name placed on the ballot and must be a registered voter and domiciled in Merrimack. (RSA 669:6, 669:19) Candidates for Town Council must also have been domiciled in Merrimack for at least one year. (Town Charter Article 3-4, C)
