Get Ready to Run for Merrimack Town Offices

The filing period to run for town offices begins on Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2015, according to a notice from Town Clerk Diane Trippett.

The filing period will close at 5 p.m. on Friday, March 6. The officers will be elected at Town Meeting.

Open positions include:

• 3 Councilors for 3 years
• 1 Councilor for 1 year
• 2 Ethics Committee Members for 3 years
• 2 Library Trustees for 3 years
• 1 Trustee of the Trust Funds for 3 years
• 1 Town Clerk/Tax Collector for 3 years
• 1 Treasurer for 3 years

Candidates must be a registered voter and domiciled in Merrimack and must file with the town clerk. Candidates for Town Council must also have been domiciled in Merrimack for at least one year.
