Goffstown Man Charged with Stealing Leafblowers
Merrimack Police arrest John Dubois last week

A quick scheme to allegedly snag some leafblowers off a landscaping truck and pawn them didn’t turn out to be such a bright idea for this New Hampshire man, according to police.
John Dubois, 21, of Amoskeag Drive in Goffstown, was arrested on July 31, 2015, on two counts of theft by unauthorized taking.

According to police, officers were sent to a local condominium complex for a report that two Stihl backpack blowers were stolen from a landscaping trailer on July 21. Police investigated the matter and later, learned that they had been pawned in Manchester. According to information received from the shop, Dubois allegedly pawned them.
A warrant was taken out for his arrest and he turned himself in to police yesterday.

Dubois is scheduled to be in court on Aug. 11.
