Hollis Man Arrested On Gun Charge In Merrimack

Police: Angel Alamo was charged with unsworn falsification after attempting to purchase a gun in town last month.

MERRIMACK, NH — A local man was arrested earlier this month for allegedly providing false information during the process of attempting to purchase a firearm, according to police. Angel Alamo, 27, of West Hollis Street in Hollis, was arrested on July 1, 2017, on an unsworn falsification charge. Back in June, according to Sgt. Kenneth MacLeod of the Merrimack Police Department, Alamo allegedly attempted to purchase a firearm from a local gun dealer and during that process, “provided false information on the application to purchase the firearm.”

“Upon further investigation, it was confirmed that Angel Alamo had provided false information at the time of the attempted purchase, and a warrant was subsequently issued for the charge of unsworn falsification,” MacLeod alleged.

Alamo turned himself in to police and was processed and released. He is due in court on Aug. 1.

Information about any previous criminal history was not available although Alamo was arrested in August 2016, on a warrant in Littleton, MA, according to online to the Sentinel and Enterprise.
