Failure to pay a toll in any of these manners will result in increased fines, DOT Spokesman Bill Boynton says. If a driver does not pay the expected toll, fines increase on an incremental scale over a period of months. Any unpaid tolls will flag the operator in the automobile registration renewal system and in order to renew their registration, they will be required to pay the fines.

According to Boynton, "These changes at Exit 11, which are already in effect at Exits 10 and 12, are expected to improve the efficiency of toll collection operations during the hours when traffic is minimal."

Toll attendants working these hours will be reassigned to other shifts or nearby toll facilities.
