Hudson Woman Arrested In Merrimack For Criminal Liability

Brittney Oliver allegedly worked with another store employee to return items at Van Heusen for cash. Nashua Police located and arrested her.

MERRIMACK, NH — A local woman was arrested on Tuesday after allegedly being involved in returning stolen items for cash at a mall store, according to Merrimack Police. Brittney Oliver, 26, of Federal Street in Hudson, was arrested on Jan. 2, 2018, for criminal liability for conduct of another – two counts of theft by deception. On Nov. 1, 2017, police were sent to the Van Heusen store at the Merrimack Premium Outlets to investigate a report of multiple thefts, according to Sr. Mptl. Walters of the Merrimack Police Department.

“After an investigation, it was discovered that on two occasions Brittney Oliver collected items from the store inventory and fraudulently returned them without paying for the items,” he alleged. “It was also discovered that Oliver worked with another store employee that knowingly made the fraudulent returns for cash.”

A warrant was then drafted for her arrest and Nashua Police located and arrested her. Oliver was processed and released on personal recognizance bail. She is scheduled to appear in Merrimack District Court on Feb. 6.

Previously, according to reports online, Oliver was arrested in Hudson on a warrant in January 2015. At the time, she lived in Windham, the Lowell Sun noted online. Seven months later, in July 2015, she was arrested by Nashua Police for theft by unauthorized taking and misuse or failure to display plates. Nashua Police also arrested her in May 2016, for theft by unauthorized taking, resisting arrest or detention, and non-appearance in court.
