IMAGE GALLERY: Biden Visits Merrimack

Vice President Joe Biden and his wife, Dr. Jill Biden, capped two days of campaigning in the Granite State with a grassroots-style rally at Merrimack Middle School on Saturday afternoon.

About 500 people, according to Principal Debbie Woelflein, filled the gymnasium at the school to hear Biden speak and show their support for his and President Barack Obama's re-election campaign.

"He was awesome, he's always awesome," said Jack Rothman, a Merrimack Democrat running for state rep in November. "He's a very, very real person, he talks from the heart, it's not just another campaign speech."
