Fitness University visited the track at Merrimack High School on Tuesday and the kids had a blast.
Fitness University, an eight-week clinic run by the Gate City Striders to teach children about the importance of exercise, fitness and healthy living, was in Merrimack at the high school track on Tuesday. Kids from the Greater Nashua area are invited to come each week to participate in the hour and half long evening clinic. The event culminates on July 23 with Finals Day, a four-hour event that celebrates the children's accomplishments.
It is also a great opportunity for parents to get out and walk or jog around the track or socialize with other families of children who attend. Fitness University is a free program, sponsored by Southern New Hampshire Medical Center and organized by the Striders. It is held every Tuesday from 6-7:30 p.m. Parents can sign their children up at each week's clinic, but advance registration is requested for Finals Day. Get more information and register for finals day online. And read more about Fitness University in a posted we posted this morning.
